BBUGS 2021 AGM and SUPPLIERS DAY
On the 24th November, 2021, BBUGs held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) and annual Supplier’s Day in Moranbah, Queensland.
Many great presentations were given by our sponsors with products and capabilities on show on the exhibition tables.
For the first time in many years no one was nominated and therefore no one was awarded the BBUGS Geotechnical Practitioner of Year. We would like to congratulate Robert Bertuzzi of PSM for being voted and receiving the Presentation of the Year on his presentation “Geotechnical Innovations in Tunneling”. Lucky door prize (IPAD) went to Graeme Naylor of DSI Underground.
In total, the event had 50 people attend in person with a good combination of mine staff and suppliers. Another 40 members attended online.
After the or the first time BBUGS sponsored a barefoot bowls and BBQ at the Moranbah Bowls club which was well attended and enjoyed by all.
Once again, BBUGs would like to thank all of our sponsors for supporting the group this year. It has been another tough year for most businesses and the Coal Industry due to COVID-19. We look forward to your ongoing support into 2022.
