A record attendance when 50 members attended the first BBUGS Meeting of 2018 was held in Moranbah at the Black Nugget 1971 venue on the 1st March. Broadmeadow Mine hosted an excellent tour to the only top coal caving longwall in Australia in the morning followed by an afternoon of quality presentations:

Sponsors were acknowledged and updated on the web page. Yass-Marie Rutty was thanked for her contribution as a councilor and scholarship committee chair and fare-welled and Paul Buddery was welcomed as a councilor. Finances were presented and 2018 sponsorship drive has been successful putting the society in good financial position.
